What should we wear to a so cal wedding?

Dresses are always perfect but dress slacks and a nice top are fine too if you're not comfortable w/ a dress. I like wearing dresses but usually I feel like I have to be so cautious and wear heels so me dancing is out of the question. Plus they're usually too short or way too long so I mainly wear black slacks and a on down top just so I can actually enjoy myself. Hopefully ppl are going to be more focused on the bride and groom and not making a big deal about you not wearing dress but like anywhere there's always going to be catty rude women who have nothing better to do.
