Can anyone remember this old game?

All I can remember is you started on a spaceship and I think you were wearing purple clothing(not too sure). You came across what looked like a can(shaped like an hourgl) of liquid and it somehow ended up shooting out the spaceship onto a planet and the boss guy sent you out after it.
