100 push-ups, 100 squats a day?

I'm not overweight. In fact some people would say I'm too skinny. But I feel weak. So I've decided to do 100 push-ups and 100 squats a day. I hope it will make a difference in my strength and my overall bodily physique. Does this sound like a good idea? Should I try for even more push-ups a day? Also I don't really want to start going to a gym right now. I'm looking for exercises I can do at home with no equipment.
